Data and partnership principles

How we intend to operate.

These principles explain the intended operating approach of Farmers Door. They do not replace the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, programme agreement or any data-processing agreement.

Purpose
Information is collected and used for an agreed programme, service or account purpose.
Permission
Access to producer and partner information is controlled according to the permissions and roles agreed for the programme.
Ownership and IP
Participants retain their rights in source records they provide. Farmers Door retains its rights in the platform, software, methods, models, templates and general know-how. Contract terms define licences and programme outputs.
Claims control
A public claim must identify its source, scope, date and approval status. Self-recorded, reviewed and independently assured information are not presented as the same thing.
Partner respect
Names, logos, customers, facilities and programme details are not published without written approval.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained, archived or deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy, contracts, legal obligations, security requirements and documented retention schedules.
Transparency
Where Farmers Door performs an assessment, the role of Farmers Door and any independent reviewer is described accurately.
Commercial roles
The role, fees and responsibilities of Farmers Door and participating businesses are agreed for each programme.

Where those documents and these principles differ, the signed documents apply. Nothing on this page is a contractual promise, and it should not be read as one.

Farmers Door structures and reviews evidence within the scope of each programme. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Farmers Door is not providing accredited certification or independent assurance.
